Learning Disability Home Care Services
Home care services with independent living support for those with learning disabilities
“People have equal rights as citizens and services for people with learning disabilities should promote inclusion, independence and choice – Valuing People (White Paper, 2001).”
People with learning disabilities have the same needs as we all have, in that they want freedom and choice; to live independently; to have self esteem; to engage socially and to be able to live as full of a life as possible.
What is a learning disability
Learning disabilities, although they can be categorised, can vary from person to person; each person is unique in most cases there may be some reduced intellectual ability or social skills, and in some people there may also be physical or emotional conditions.
The home care and community services we provide are planned especially for each person, taking into account their individual and unique requirements, no matter what their age or circumstances.
